Hello
my name is Elisa, I was born and I still live in Auronzo di Cadore, a small village in the Dolomites, surrounded by nature. When I was little I used to spend a lot of time reading and painting about nature and animals, so when I was 13 I started my art studies at Art Institute of Vittorio Veneto.
I then decided to focus my university years on the study of eastern religions and philosophies, two other passions of mine. It's during this period, in 2017, that I suffered from an aneurysm which brought me between life and death.
This event made me realize that, in life, I needed to focus on what made me feel good, so I started to paint once again.
Lately I felt that I needed something else
so in the last year I started a journey of profound personal research getting closer to spirituality. I also felt the need to unify this research with the ever lasting love that I feel for animals, that's how I got close to sciamanic cultures, where the relationship between man and nature becomes of the spiritual kind.
For the sciamanic cultures animals are important spiritual guides, which walk along our path together with us since birth. During our lives they help us in many ways, teaching us valuable lessons and protecting us.
In addition to that, each different species embodies specific qualities which we can summon during our lives.
With my paintings I want to reflect this journey and the need of the human being to reconnect with the power of the natural world.

The compositions I make
don't have just a merely aesthetic purpose, every element I choose has been selected based on its meaning and the vibes that I sense from it.
My paintings are made with acrylic on paper or on wood which I gather from local carpenters or old wood made houses, in this way I can give a second life to the wood.
